Overall GPA, previous grades, standardized test scores, student’s desire, and teachers’ recommendations are considered before enrolling high-achieving students in these sections.

Advanced Classes for College Credit

AP U.S. History

AP Government

AP Calculus

Dual Enrollment English Composition I and II

Dual Enrollment Algebra

Overall GPA, previous grades, standardized test scores, student’s desire, and teachers’ recommendations are considered before enrolling high-achieving students in these sections. Students in the dual enrollment programs must meet the standards set by the cooperating college.

When figuring the honors GPA, honors classes and advanced science classes receive one extra quality point per semester grade. Dual enrollment classes that replace a CA advanced course also receive one extra quality point per semester grade. AP classes receive 1.5 quality points per semester.
